Backlit cloud in late afternoon sunshine casts a weird light on a crazily violent scene – isolated trees that before thinning were sheltered by surrounding woodland are now swaying and sometimes almost horizontal in the tempest; dull and dormant plants are suddenly highlighted in sharp relief. I capture a photo before rushing for shelter. Winter 2014.
