An oil painting made from the window of my studio at Drynie Park on the Black Isle, which is ten miles north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The winter tree is a horn beam and looks very cold and bare in comparison to the way it looks in summer with it's beautiful green and silver leaves. The painting was made in January but the hyacinth in the pot speaks of the Spring to come.
Oil on canvas painted in the alla prima style.
