Wings (2022) is a piece made of pastels, charcoal and acrylics, on an unprimed cotton canvas.
Part of the Utopia series, this artwork represents a “beautiful” one-winged creature trapped in space and time. She desperately seeks for her freedom, but until she understands that only she can set her free, she will remain a prisoner of the system, bound to do as told. This piece depicts the social pressure felt by many among us. Once trapped in the digital world, it is very difficult to make it out, and then begins the downward facing spiral.
