Artwork description:

The windswept trees have a powerful energy and the colour is very intense in this piece. People often ask me about the patterns - are they meant to represent something in particular? The idea began as a limestone pavement with cracks and grooves but as it developed I added more patterns and it become more abstract in nature - like a patchwork quilt.

This etching was created on a copper plate - tiny grooves and pits were made using a variety of resists and ferric chloride. The plate is inked up in 12 colours then wiped back carefully before being printed onto damp paper on a traditional etching press (a bit like a mangle if you can remember mangles!) The plate is inked and printed by hand for every print in the edition.

The frame is solid oak with no finish - just beautiful natural wood. It is ready to hang with d-rings and string attached. It is very well packed in a spacious box with padding all round. I can only send framed prints to UK destinations but please see separate listing for the same print unframed.
