Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a digital image taken of louvred windows on the Ponte Vecchio in the city of Florence. I have tried to emphasise the abstract nature of the subject by focusing on the rhythm created by the repeating shapes of the closed and open shutters. Final editing consists of tonal, colour and lighting adjustments.

The Ponte Vecchio is a Medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, Italy, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewellers, art dealers and souvenir sellers.
