As a teenager I loved to sail with my cousin in our Mirror sailing dinghy through the Kyles of Bute. Many years on I no longer sail but love to watch others and particularly enjoy the days when the sea is rough and the sky is moody. Such was the day that inspired this atmospheric painting of two little sailing boats cutting through the sea spray.
The scene is painted on a quality deep edge canvas with the composition continued on the edges to allow hanging without framing if so desired.
