This is a painting of the well known Willy Lott's Cottage in Suffolk, England. This was painted on the spot plein air during the course of a few days, during a trip that I took to the place.
I went to visit the place because of it's historic relevance to the art of John Constable, who is a favourite painter of mine. This little house was feature in a famous painting by John Constable painted in 1821, today called 'The Hay Wain'. The little house still exists and was never destroyed, in fact it was restored. Today anyone can visit the place and it's very enchanting to be there if you're a fan of Constable and his beautiful work. I have attached a photo of Constable's painting, in case you haven't seen it before.
