Original artwork description:

In late summer I found this view of the May Island seen through free flowing wild flowers along a pathway in the East Neuk Of Fife. I built up the layers over a period of weeks in order to intensify the colours and rhythms I wished to convey to the viewer. This painting is on a bigger scale than usual for me, and I hope to scale up my work in the forseable future.

This painting has been framed to a very high standard by one of Edinburgh's top framers.

Materials used:

Oil paint on canvas
