Artist's description:

Probably the most famous road crossing in the world, Abbey Road was brought to popular attention when it became the location for the shooting of the cover of THE BEATLES last album: Abbey Road.

I recreated this famous photograph of The BEATLES in acrylic, using four iconic cartoon characters , namely, Astro Boy( 1951) Donald Duck (1933), Mickey Mouse (1928) and Bart Simpson(1987). All these characters have, and will, stand the test of time, just like the iconic English band from Liverpool, The Beatles (1960).

If you noticed, Astro Boy is a Japanese cartoon character. Yoko Ono is Japanese too. It is my intention to introduce this subtle element is to reflect Yoko Ono's strained relationship with the Beatles after John Lennon brought her into the band's orbit
