Artist's description:

I painted this portrait of a Shih Tzu on a background of dog bone shaped biscuits as an experiment to see if I could make a painting appear three dimensional, like a sculpture.

The first attempt didn't work so I reworked it with some degree of success, yay! I hung the painting up in the gallery, nfs, and received many comments of how the dog and bone appeared is if they were coming out of the painting from the background.

I never release a painting for sale until I am totally happy with it. I am more than happy with it after the feedback received from the general public and have now decided to release it for sale here exclusively on Art Finder. The painting will come to you unframed with finished sides and ready to hang.
