This piece was started with no preconceived notion of how the painting would be completed. This is by design, as there is something magical about the painting being spontaneous, with only a certain amount of control over what the final result will be. Unruly and wild, it paints itself: the colors and shapes that spring onto the canvas like wonderful weeds.
