The goats and geese in this painting, were inspired from a mother goat and her kid, along with some white geese, that I found in a grassy pen at a Rare Breed Livestock show, that I enjoy going to. As you can guess, this hot air balloon, landscape scene of them is from my imagination. I paint in a series of many layers, to create my original, country landscape paintings. The gallery wrapped, sides of this 3/4 inch deep, stretched canvas are painted dark green to match, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang!
The sides of the gallery wrap canvas are painted to match and the painting is wired and ready to hang, so no framing is necessary!
I hope that you will enjoy viewing my vision and glimpses of the quiet, old rural landscapes of the American heartland. Old farms, barns, cattle, sheep, meadows and big open skies, are often the inspiration for my art. I have been influenced by the old Barbizon, Tonalist, & Luminist painters for my original dreamscape, landscape paintings.
My work is in collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. I was happy to have had my art work shown in the "This Old House Magazine' and hung in their Cloudland Cottage show house in 2015. My paintings have been used as cover art on a classical CD by the "Wingra Quintet", and on several books: Praying with your Whole Heart, Three Ways of Loving God, and a lovely heritage cookbook by Cinagro Farms. An article about my original heartland landscape paintings was on the online Art Magazine "Empty Easel".
