Original artwork description:
This is an original oil painting on gesso board. It is inspired by the beautiful colours of the Scottish west coast. The oil painting measures 6 inches. I have placed it in a 9 inch white card mount. I painted this on a beach on the isle of Bute on a glorious summer day. The sunshine was glistening off the turquoise water. The sand was pristine and almost white in colour. The sand banks at the side of the beach were lovely deep green & purple hues. I used artists' quality oil paints. I finished this with a mat oil paint varnish.
