Artwork description:

Watercolour Memories is one of a new series of images I have been working on recently. It was created from images I took during the Summer rains last year on the Waternish area of the Isle of Skye. The area is very remote with few people living there, you reach it after driving down bumpy one track roads past some small croft houses until even those become few and far between. The peninsula overlooks a small bay of water towards Dunvegan which is just out of sight in the image. The soft, textured, yellowing grass and the beautiful pastel tones in the sky and over the water made me feel very sentimental, I thought of loved ones and those long gone, this place almost echoes with memories.

Signed on the back and provided with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.

For these special small editions of my work I use Canson® Infinity Museum ProCanvas. This fabulous 100% cotton canvas has been designed "for professionals producing true Fine Art Reproductions that require precision images with a very high resolution".

Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper and canvas for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, Canson has the choice of many famous artists such as Picasso, Ingres, Chagal and Miro to name but a few. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

By using beautiful Canson Museum ProCanvas combining it with the fabulous non-fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta inkset of 9 colours, I can produce a print of exceptional quality which will last a lifetime without fading.

Due to size this canvas is unmounted and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
