Original artwork description:

This painting represents peace and tranquillity and stillness.

The picture is of the water lilies which grow at late springtime on Little Hatchet pond, near Beaulieu in the New Forest. This is a popular spot for visitors to the forest but it is especially beautiful when the lilies are in bloom.

This picture was painted on a very still day when there was hardly a ripple on the pond and the colour of the sky was reflected on the water.

The frame is a simple white wooden frame with wood grain as shown on the picture. I am can also sell it unframed.

Materials used:

oil on canvas board
