Water is an artistic trope rich in symbolism and ripe for metaphor, but consequently prone to the trap of cliché. With this series of images I have deliberately chosen to remove context and implication, even via titling (which often forms an integral part of my work). These are simply studies in form, composition, and captured movement...a reduction to pure aesthetics through which the presence or absence of interpretative consideration is transferred entirely to the viewer, to engage with the work in whatever way she or he chooses or is internally driven towards.

Shot on 35mm film, August 2017. Archival C-Type prints from colour film negative scans, mounted on aluminium substrate. Two panels, each signed and numbered on the back, and coming with individual certificates of authenticity.

This very large two-panel statement piece consists of two 45x30 inch prints (Water 1 and Water 2). Only one print of each photograph is produced at this size, making this a one of a kind artwork. Overall dimensions 63 inches (W) x 45 inches (H).
