Welcome to our world of art.
The inspiration for this picture came from three sources: a golden figurine from ancient Columbia, soapstone carved statues (the vulture-type birds) from the ancient settlement of Great Zimbabwe (c.500-1500 AD) in southern Africa, and a bronze harness ring (the ram) found in the Luristan bronzes, Iran, which date from the Early Bronze Age down to the final Iron Age (c.2600-500 BC). I decided do to a black and white image for a change (well mostly black and white!) and may do more B/W images in the future, as I was quite pleased with the finished piece.
