Artist's description:

Continuing my 'powerful places ' series of paintings. This painting draws on my memories of Walvis bay on the coast of Namibia. This fishing port is well known for its prolific birdlife, including the fantastic flamingoes featured in the painting as well as the incredibly impressive pelicans. I remember the huge pelicans each landing on top of a road lamp post in the early evening and the posts swaying around violently. I guess they had worked out that it was a nice warm place to perch!

Created on a 380g high quality, Seawhite deep box canvas, painted black on the sides, so you may choose not to frame. However I believe that the painting would greatly benefit from framing. The last image indicates an image of my recommendation for framing, which would be with an offset white frame.

Initialled on the front and signed on the back and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Corded and ready to hang
