Artist's description:

A scene from a farm just after the harvest and when the land and ochre-coloured soils move slowly into Autumn. The early farmers used stone strut cut from the surrounding sandstone cliffs to secure their fences. These fields are often edged with trees, planted as windbreaks. This is a very tranquil farm scene in South Africa.

Materials used:

Fredrix canvas-covered board, Wintor and Newton Artist Oils
