Artist's description:

A man and a woman in old style dress stand conversing by a derelict hewn log cabin. Sagging, and overgrown with vines and missing doors this house has been left to the elements a long time. Maybe the people are talking about their childhoods there. My wife thinks the people look like they could be ghosts. It is based on an anonymous, public domain photo purchased at an antique store in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The painting itself is a visual riot of impastos and bright cadmiums.

Materials used:

Oil and walnut medium on 18"x24" black-primed stretched canvases
