Artist's description:

You have probaby noticed I have an affinity with both black and white, and machinery. I love old locomotives. I have said before that their engineering always fascinated me. All of those man-made components working together is impressive. I remember talking to a man who was an engineer on a locomotive similar to this one, and he said looking down and seeing these drive shafts moving in and out when the train was at full speed used to put the fear of God into him with the thought of a drive shaft breaking loose.
