I made the initial sketches and studies on a bright spring morning, sitting beside the cliff top path that links West Runton and East Runton. The final painting was created in one sitting, using rapid broad strokes, and much of the paint was mixed directly on the board.
This painting is part of my ongoing series, capturing the East Anglian coastline.
