during midday we strolled through Via Alessandro, crossing Via Santa Maria, where we bought the vegetables for dinner. We were carried away by the colors and only chose by looking at the colors, so we had to go there again and get some ingredients for our main dish. From there I somehow got into “Via della Sapienza”, the street of wisdom. It´s one of the streets close to the “Facoltá di lettere e filosofia”. I imagine that I would have studied there, if I was born in Pisa. Whenever I go to cities with universities, I go there and walk around the building. It happened quite often that I booked an apartment, not knowing that it is just around the corner of the University of the City. Things like these put a smile on my face. When I reached the market place, all the stalls had already been covered up and deserted. On my way back, I just saw a woman closing the shutters of her shop, on the corner of Via Drina. She was as friendly as to sell me some bread before she closed her shop.
