I was really inspired by a recent visit to Dartmoor and came home and did a series of paintings. This one started as a simple sketch in my sketchbook. I really enjoyed painting this and creating the atmosphere starting with a thin layer of oil and building up the layer using various tools to create different marks on the board. Really pleased with the result. Hope you like it.

Oils, wax medium, linseed oil, birchwood wood panel.
