An alternative edit of 'On The Wing'
A Short Toed Eagle 'on the wing' during the lockdown of 2021, north of Gaucin in Andalucia. There were many of them. Soaring above! I admired them for their ability to fly high, above the world, with seemingly no restrictions placed upon them. Such freedom! What a view they must have from up there and I know they have extraordinary eyesight which they use to spot their prey! I did feel threatened at one moment, when there seemed to be 100 of them up there looking down on me, swooping and swirling around I felt this capture was particularly poignant at the end of a long year of restrictions in all of our lives - I brought some colour and drama into the final edit to represent the surreal nature and drama of what is going on in our lives today as well as the need for light, colour and hope!
