Artwork description:

The original of this artwork has been produced using different layers. Each layer is made using different painting techniques and collage elements which are then put together digitally in order to produce the final artwork and the limited edition run. I used my own photographs, paintings and digital illustrations. The process to produce this artwork has been an extensive one as it is usually with all the artworks in my collection.

'Flung Into the Limelight' portrays imaginative freedom at its finest. The star of the artwork is a mermaid/woman who lives in an imaginary world, merged with nature. This print was made from the original artwork which is a mixed media artwork created with photographs and a variety of elements such as dried petals, old magazine cut outs, glass beads, acrylic painting. Even though this is a print of the original it still captures the beauty and intricacies of the original artwork.
