Artist's description:

Hand blown neon, transformer, plexiglass.

The artwork was developed from a series of drawings representing everyday domestic chores; in this case a pile of folded laundry. The red glow of neon is often associated with consumerism and advertising, in particular the advertisement of women's bodies therefore by utitlising the medium to represent a domestic action, the piece aims to confront the viewer with the politics of 'women's work'.

Materials used:

neon, perspex, transformer, wire.
