Artist's description:

With the fresh green (different shades from apple green, lime green to a dark olive green) and dark red in combination with white (or rather off white) all paintings of the "Unfinished Symphony" Series are really fresh and vibrant, they are like a taste of spring.

I finished them a year ago, but now I'm happy to match the new pantone "colour of the year" 2017, greenery!

"Unfinished Symphony" started as a project with my personal working title "30x30x30". The Idea was - and is! - to create 30 Artworks each 30 x 30 cm, started as one large painting, but then complete each one as a work for itself, and then see them spread around the world. An artwork on its own and also coexist as part of something bigger.

Only 24 of the 30 Artworks get ready - so now they have the title "Unfinished Symphony".

Due to the square format they are also great in hanging some of them together - horizontal, vertical or in each other arrangement you want.

One of the photographs shows all artworks together including "only numbers" for the ghost parts...

The sides are painted black. Finished with a silk glossy varnish. Signed and numbered as part of "30x30x30" on the back. Ready to hang with a professional hanger on the back.

Painting size is 30 x 30 x 3 cm | 11,81 x 11,81 x 1,2 in

I love the idea of artworks belonging together but spread around the world!

I find my inspirations in colours and materials - for example in a beautiful deep turquoise mountain lake or in the washed-out grey of concrete in a city. Based on such impressions and inspirations I commence my work and my artwork often comes to life in little series. Each painting is unique and the creation and development of each painting is a time consuming and slow process, usually lasting many weeks and in some cases up to a few months.

My paintings are acrylic mix paintings, for example, acrylic paint with charcoal, oil pastels, pencils, spray paint and many other artistic materials. I often combine these materials with natural materials and objects from nature (e.g., leaf seeds) as well as with ash, sand or building materials such as grout or plaster.

My pieces of art are created informally. Each step builds on the previous step, leaving room for chance but also for corrections and erasures, until the final finished artwork has evolved as a composition of colour, shape, texture and surface.

Due to the complexity of my paintings and the interplay of (collage) materials, my works are not simply one-dimensional, rather they entice the viewer not just to explore them with their eyes but also to touch them.

My works of art are informal; they are my personal expressions of my experiences and impressions and each piece of art is truly unique and only one of its kind.
