Original artwork description:

I had this wonderful woollen scarf which I bought because I loved the colours but it turned out that the scarf was a bit scratchy so I never used it. I thought it would make a really nice sea themed collage so I took the scissors to it et voila - a fishy collage!
The collage is made on a rich natural linen background. There are background patches of a really nice fabric I had which is like an Atlas. I really like the writing on it as well. I have stitched the whole background with a lovely blue thread to give an idea of waves. There are some patches which are denim and then it is patches of the lovely scarf. The lovely wool of the scarf gives a really nice depth to the collage and it kind of looks really warm and cosy. I have embroidered fish on all the patches and then I have stitched all the patches onto the background. I had some lovely coloured felt which I made the little blue fish and the starfish shapes from.
The collage title and my signature are embroidered onto the front of the collage.
The collage is sold unframed. I have taken a photo of it in a frame to show how lovely it looks when framed. Spot the Dog was particularly pleased with this one!
