This story came to me while traveling in Turkey. There is no more "usual" and touching story than a mother and her child. A young mother stood under an olive tree, the baby smiled at his father, and only the phone in his hand is a detail that indicates modernity.
The tree for me symbolizes the humanity. The tree provides cover, but its shadow brings a note of alertness. In my painting, the soft light from the two figures meets the shadow from the tree.
This watercolor took part in the joint exhibition of the Antalya Art Society in 2022
