My London paintings are always inspired by my observation of the city from the perspective of a "weekend reveller" - travelling into the city on Friday and Saturday nights to play as a nightclub drummer/percussionist in London's throbbing house music scene. This piece, in particular, depicts my fascination with the city's deserted streets, solitary strangers and occasional taxis and buses. The main focus of my London works is to connect and unite the viewer with the un-knowable inner-worlds of these anonymous characters as they journey home under the midnight moon.
I absolutely love this painting, which is infused with my soul.x
