This one-of-a-kind sculpture is a part of my "Drifting" sculpture series.
She features driftwood and birch bark pieces
gathered from the Southern shores of Lake Superior.
It is an ORIGINAL RAKU sculpture.
She is about 13" tall and hollow with birch bark inside.
I use low-fire red and white clay fired to 04 or stoneware fired to cone 6.
Sculptures are bisque fired to cone 04 then glazed with a variety of glazes to 06 -cone 6.
Some pieces are fired multiple time to achieve the desired effect.
