On a rainy, chilly, gray day I just felt like painting landscapes that would brighten things up a bit. Inspired by my memories of Tuscan countryside, I started painting Summer Hills first, but then somehow it grew into painting other three landscapes (this one was the third painting) and ended up with yet another Seasons series (I just love this theme!). So now, I have four landscapes (Spring Breeze, Summer Hills, Autumn Hues, Winter Tranquility) of similar format and style (not quite realistic, more atmospheric one). Winter Tranquility stands apart from other paintings in this series with its muted, limited palette, grayish sky and static feel. Snowy rolling hills, shadows and slo-mo, as if suspended in the air falling snow, are the only “moving” elements in this peaceful, wintery scene.
This (and each painting in the series) landscape is done in acrylic on stretched 16” x 20” canvas with painted sides (so, it can be displayed with or without frame). It’s protected with few coats of satin varnish.
I’d prefer to sell all four paintings as a series, of course and would offer discount to any interested buyer. In this case, I’d consider grouping the paintings and ship them together in one box (details will need to be further determined at the time, after orders are placed). However, due to this website constraints, I’m posting each painting for sale separately.
Each painting is signed & dated in front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
