This is an original linocut print inspired both by my love for Delft Pottery, and tulips.
This is a stylised representation, created from an original hand-drawn illustration, of tulips in a delft blue beer mug with images of a windmill and canal evoking a sense of place and memory of the Dutch landscape.
This print has been made in Delft blue colour, and hand printed on acid free heavyweight Fabriano Rosapino paper, with soy oil based printing inks, giving it a smooth finish. The contrast of smooth white paper with the fresh blue makes the image pop out.
Minor variations occur during the printmaking process as the plate is inked each time for individual prints, thereby making each print in the edition unique and original.
The sizes are approximate. There is a generous margin around the image. The print is available unframed but will be sent in a reinforced envelope with an attractive wrapping.
Please let me know if you would like a framed picture and I could make that available.
