I recently started a series of small abstract squares that, for the time being, satisfied my pictorial curiosity, but things changed. I began to see how most of the small squares connected, almost perfectly, with other squares and if I turned one 90 degrees or flipped one over it all made sense.
So, I started to lay them all out on the floor and rearrange them according to color coordination, composition and balance. The aluminum dowels, and this may change from time to time, allowed for the continuation of the singular piece all the while showcasing the thread between individual expressions.
The three pieces are 8" x 8", Oil on panel box framed with a nice dark ash stain and connected with aluminum dowels.
The overall measurement is 21" x 17".
This piece is VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL.
