This painting is one of a series of works I made this year exploring images of figures on a rocky Scottish beach, in winter time.
It is painted in acrylic (underlayers) and water-based oil (top layers) on board which is supported at the back on a wooden frame (so the picture stands proud of the wall). Sides painted thinly in white acrylic paint. The painting has a tactile surface with a soft sheen and rich colour. Is ready to hang (rests on nails).
This painting was shortlisted for the National Open Art Competition (in the UK).
NB The home interior view is intended to give a rough indication of size only - it may not be exactly to scale.
