I found this duck battling against the flow of the river whilst walking to Aysgarth Falls in the Yorkshire Dales. I was amazed at how the bird managed to stay in the same place despite all the water flowing vigorously past it!
When I got home again, I looked at the photo I had taken with all the different qualities in the water and decided I'd like to paint it - so here it is...
