This drawing depicts violent trauma and loss that can shake a family to its core, and the way that an emotional wound, caused by sudden trauma and shocking loss, can eventually heal over time. I was inspired by a loss that devastated my family, and the ways that we remembered to remain compassionate and positive, even in the midst of sorrow.
