This artwork takes part in the Liquitex/ArtFinder Muted Collection. The beautiful gold and green colours are mixed together giving a muted expression of the late summer in the North York Moors.
I love the mood of North Yorkshire Dales in late Summer. In this painting you can sense or perceive it as well. This is why I have painted it: to give you the gift of a sunny, splendid day in the Dales. So please, enjoy it.
Looking against light at the painting will show you slightly different view. This is because the painting is also painted with iridescent and interference paints. Iridescent paints are luminous colours that seem to change when seen from different angles, and interference paints have opalescent qualities. This makes this painting alive because it inter-plays with light depending on angle of illumination.
I have painted on a sturdy sheet of Hahnemuele mould-made, acid free, age resistant paper (450 g/square meter, 210lbs) using artists quality acrylic paints. The painting is varnished two times to protect it from airborne pollutants and UV damage.
The artwork is mounted and fits in regular frames of size 16" x 12" (40 x 30 cm), and it will be delivered with my certificate of authenticity.
