A bright red traditional British phone and post box in the highlands of Scotland.
This is a fairly typical scene, though now often disappearing, throughout the far north of the Scottish highlands where a phone and or post box are surrounded by miles of desolate moorland with hardly, and sometimes not a house in sight.
Painted in muted ochre colours with an atmospheric grey blue stormy sky.
Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a square format 15" x 15" (38 x 38cm) lightly textured canvas on board, framed in a white limewash frame, with cord ready to hang.
All paintings are also available as limited edition giclee prints.
