Traces VII - Found on East 9th Street in NYC
This is the 7th vintage American wooden art board with a canvas wrapped around and stapled, differently than I would cut it, but it's original and I wanted to use it as is. One of the photos shows a backside – I can always close it with passepartout cardboard.
This Traces painting has build-up structures of paint drops on the partly visible surface of the linnen. It is painted in kind of pastel tones with the original underground partly shimmering through. Now this work has the charme of a construction site - beautiful to me...
The sides are painted white, a hanger is (will be) attached to the back.
