This original marble sculpture on marble base is one of the latest artworks of the skillful professional Bulgarian sculptor Rasho Mitev, deeply inspired by modernism, art deco and geometry. Marble is an amazing millions of years old type of rock, its natural glamour come mainly from its metamorphosis from limestone. The sedimentary type of rock - the limestone - in millions of years process crystalizes under heat and chemical processes and turns into marble. This long and beautiful transformation in nature is like the caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly. So does marble. The artist concept is to carve into large solid marble rock a graphic geometrical image and display it gently on another solid marble stand, creating light and airy figure in an elegant art deco spiraling form. It is now one extraordinary large marble masterpiece and exquisite modern home/garden décor.
