There is a bike race in France every year.The event is full of mountains and fantastic views. It made me think about the striking colours that whizz down those steep slopes in such close distance that it makes the event like a downhill rainbow. I wanted the cyclists to "pop" so kept the detail quite muted and gave the piece lots of vibrant colour. The result is lots of fun.
