This portrait of an old homeless man is intended to express the disrepair and hopelessness of being "down on your luck". It reminds me of the expression "except for the grace of God, go I".
This piece is India ink and acrylic paint on archival grade, architectural drafting film. It is an original “one-of-a-kind” work and no authorized copies will ever be made.
The painting is mounted on tempered masonite hardboard with a hanging strip on the back. The overall size, including the mounting board, is approximately 6” wider and 7” taller than the size of the painting itself. It can be immediately hung unframed or, if you prefer, a more formal frame can be added.
The painting is signed on the front and has a signed certificate of authenticity on the back.
