Original artwork description:
This very loose, broadly painted portrait of a young man in bright sunlight is from a series of photographs I shot of my friend Torano at the apartment complex where I lived in Honolulu at the time, Fairway House. My aim in painting this was to capture the person and the moment in broad strokes with no detail, going for a lot of vitality and energy.
The painting is on unstretched canvas and image area measures approximately 16.5x22.5 in. / 41x57 cm.
PLEASE NOTE: This artwork is on unstretched canvas and will be shipped rolled in a heavy-duty mailing tube. Take it to your framer just as you would a stretched canvas; stretching a canvas prior to framing is a standard service at any good frame shop.
