Abstract painting, oil on canvas.
The Tone poem series is exactly that, little poems with colours. The relationship between texture, interaction and strokes of colours all tell their part of the story.
The initial inspiration came from watching the colour pallet develop during painting an acrylic painting of a lilac chested roller, a particularly colourful bird. It occurred to me that the painting pallet was telling a story of its own; which colour would appear victorious, the battle of blending and swirling colours, the texture of brush drips and hard strokes.
Comes in a simple but stylish white frame, ready to hang.
