This image is one of a series painted back in 2012. I was looking at the way we choose an image to represent ourselves on social network sites, using avatars to represent ourselves to the world outside of our homes. I selected a few at random and painted a portrait in oil as an 8 bit pixel image representing the digital aspect of ourselves.
