This is one of my favourite places on the west coast of Scotland. Tobermory on the Isle of Mull is a beautiful natural harbour which is extremely popular with sailors and tourists alike. The village surrounds the harbour but also rises steeply above with lots of trees and foliage interspersed amongst the brightly painted buildings. An ideal subject no matter what the weather is like! I always make a few sketches while I am on the boat here so this is a small painting I made back at my studio from a number of different drawings.
The medium is Golden Open acrylic paint used in a style similar to watercolour with thin washes on a heavy acrylic paper. Framed and mounted with glass and a plain wood frame. Ready to hang.
