Artist's description:

From my 'Botanicals' collection this is a close up image of a cluster of toadstools. My batiks are always adapted from my own photographs of the plants I see on my regular dog walks and I often frame the subjects close-up to show the intricate detail. This image was taken on a particularly early autumn morning and captures the colours and texture of the fungi before they started to degrade.

Hand-dyed and hand stitched, this piece took about 5 weeks to complete.

I am currently raising money for Mind, a UK based mental health charity. I am hoping to raise £800 and will be doing the Mind Hike in June 2018; a 24 hour walk around Cornwall to raise awareness. All profits from the sale of all my batiks will be donated to this, so please #makemeanoffer and know that you will be supporting a great cause!
