Original artwork description:

This is an endangered Sumatran Tiger. The painting is in Oil on linen canvas, (the best quality artist's canvas), it measures 60 by 40 cms - approximately 16 x 20 inches. . This stunning predator is captured here mid prowl and looking up at the watcher. The model is from "The Big Cat Sanctuary" in England and she is part of a group of endangered animals who are there to essentially breed and preserve their species against extinction.
Tigers are, to me, are the most wonderful of the Big Cats and it is sad indeed that as a Sumatran, she is one of the rarest of her species now. She has however done her bit by giving birth to two sets of precious babies, who are now also in the preservation program. You can see one of them in my painting of a Sumatran cub.

It is in rich colours, as befits the subject and I call it "Burning Bright" as it personifies the famous poem by William Blake - "Tiger, tiger burning bright - in the forests of the night". The painting is offered here unframed but ready to hang on a wall. Photos of some possible frame types added for visualization only.

Materials used:

Oil paint, Linen canvas with wooden stretcher boards
